Player Profile
The 30 year old came to the club on a free transfer, to fill the task of the playmaker in the attacking midfield role. After the Dutchman had had an impressive season for SC Heerenveen, the management offered Arnold Bruggink a three year contract in the summer of 2006. The number ten notched up six goals in 32 games in his first season in the Bundesliga. Bruggink was particularly impressive in the second half of the 2006/2007 season under Dieter Hecking. The personable and humourous Dutchman is equally liked by both his team mates and the fans.
